About the project
The Simpletons project is fairly straightforward: a posse of unusual friends rambling along from one adventure to the next. All of the pictures have a storybook feel, like those books you used to read as a kid. Our friends in the gang have their quirks and gifts, mixing up in ways that bring a smile to your face. Nostalgia and adventure blend together in each work to make the viewer feel childlike delight.

Jordan Nelsen enjoys making art. Not just any silly sort of art with a bunch of fancy, highfalootin', overcomplicated nonsense attached, but art simply to give you a reason to smile.
